Businessman Bafana Sindane, who had been sought by authorities in connection with the high-profile Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni case, has allegedly handed himself over to police ahead of a crucial court appearance.

Sindane, widely known for his past relationship with former Skeem Saam actress Amanda du Pont, is expected to appear alongside controversial businessman Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and two co-accused at the Mkobola Magistrate’s Court today.

The accused are facing serious charges including extortion and money laundering, allegations that have attracted widespread public attention due to the profile of those involved.

Sindane will join Sibanyoni, Philemon Makhaya Masilela, and Mvimbi Daniel Msiza as legal proceedings continue in what is becoming one of the most closely watched criminal matters in the province.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact circumstances surrounding Sindane’s alleged surrender, but his decision to hand himself over marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation.

The case against the four men is expected to focus on allegations of organised criminal activities linked to financial crimes and intimidation. Prosecutors are likely to argue that the accused were involved in operations that violated anti-money laundering laws while allegedly engaging in extortion-related activities.

Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni, known for his flashy lifestyle and influence in business circles, has remained at the centre of intense public scrutiny since the charges surfaced. His arrest and court appearances have generated widespread discussion on social media and within local communities.

Legal experts say today’s court proceedings could determine whether the accused will apply for bail, face additional charges, or have the matter postponed for further investigation.

The National Prosecuting Authority and law enforcement agencies are expected to oppose any attempts to interfere with investigations as authorities continue gathering evidence connected to the case.

The appearance of all four accused at the Mkobola Magistrate’s Court is expected to draw significant public and media attention, with many awaiting further details about the allegations and the direction the case will take in the coming weeks.
