Authorities have confirmed that brothers Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande are being officially extradited from Eswatini to South Africa today, marking a major development in a high-profile case that has drawn national attention. The siblings have been wanted by South African law enforcement for their alleged involvement in several serious criminal matters. Their names became widely known after investigators linked them to the February 2023 murders of award-winning rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his close friend and well-known chef, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

The two men were arrested in Eswatini earlier this year after months of coordinated investigations between South African authorities, Interpol, and law-enforcement agencies in the neighboring kingdom. Following their arrest, legal processes began to determine whether they could be returned to South Africa to stand trial. After a lengthy back-and-forth, Eswatini has now approved their extradition, clearing the way for them to face charges in a South African court.

The murders of AKA and Tibz shocked the continent and sparked widespread calls for justice. The rapper was gunned down outside a restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road in what police described as a targeted hit. From the moment the incident occurred, the investigation was placed under intense public scrutiny, with thousands demanding answers about who orchestrated and carried out the killing. The deaths of the two friends not only devastated their families but also left a deep impact on South Africa’s entertainment industry.

The extradition of the Ndimande brothers is expected to bring investigators one step closer to piecing together the full story behind the crime. Officials say the pair will be handed over to South African authorities under strict security to ensure a safe and controlled transfer. Once they arrive in the country, they are expected to undergo formal processing before appearing in court to face the charges laid against them.

Law-enforcement officials have expressed confidence that this legal breakthrough will help move the case forward and potentially reveal additional details about the planning, motive, and wider network involved in the murders. For many South Africans, today’s extradition represents a significant moment in the long journey toward justice for AKA and Tibz.
