Patriotic Alliance Snatches Wards from ANC in Soweto and Western Cape

The Patriotic Alliance (PA) has made significant gains in recent by-elections, winning key wards previously held by the ANC.

In Soweto’s Ward 29 (including Diepkloof and Noordgesig), PA’s Ismael Steenkamp secured 1,756 votes (30.46%), defeating the ANC’s 1,302 votes. In the Western Cape, the PA also won a ward in Swellendam, highlighting its growing influence in areas dominated by the ANC and DA.
