Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie faces allegations that his department redirected public arts funds to promote events featuring artists linked to his party, the Patriotic Alliance (PA).
McKenzie defended the funding shifts, citing the need to address financial mismanagement during the COVID-19 pandemic. The controversy adds to ongoing scrutiny over his use of public funds, including prior investigations related to the Paris Olympics.
