President Cyril Ramaphosa was forced to halt his address to 4,600 councillors after a loud siren or alarm interrupted his speech.
“Cde Panyaza must attend to this matter, right now!” Ramaphosa demanded, calling for immediate action.
It is currently unclear whether the incident was linked to any safety issues at the venue, and authorities are reportedly investigating the cause of the disruption.
