Xolani Khumalo, host of the riveting show Sizokuthola, discussed the difficulties he had in his efforts to crack down on drug dealers in South Africa, namely in the province of Gauteng. He is quite worried about the widespread corruption in the Gauteng police department. According to Khumalo, working with police was successful in Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal, but he encountered major setbacks in Gauteng due to alleged collusion between police and drug dealers.

Khumalo’s sad confession raises concerns about collusion between some members of the Gauteng police force and the very criminal elements they are sworn to combat. He claims that the police officers were actually defending the drug trade and looking for ways to sabotage his efforts.

#Sizokuthola host explains difficulties he faced while trying to clamp down on drug dealers.

A heartbreaking scenario showing these issues was demonstrated by an incident during the production of a drug busting episode for #Sizokuthola, where a drug dealer tragically lost their life. The event exemplifies the risks Khumalo is taking and the importance of the fight against drug trafficking.

Khumalo’s story reveals the enormous difficulties confronted by those who are committed to eliminating drug-related crimes. His disclosures highlight the critical need for stronger measures to combat drug trafficking in South Africa and confront corruption among law enforcement institutions, notably in the troubled Gauteng province.
