Businessman Katiso “KT” Molefe has been denied bail in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court for his alleged role in the murder of celebrity DJ Sumbody.

Molefe is accused of ordering the hit that killed the DJ, whose real name was Oupa Sefoka, along with his two bodyguards in Woodmead, Johannesburg, in November 2022.

At the time of his arrest, Molefe was already out on bail for a separate murder case involving the killing of an engineer in Vereeniging.

Magistrate Renier Boshoff ruled that Molefe failed to prove “exceptional circumstances” required for his release on bail. He and three co-accused remain in custody as their case continues.
