The uMkhonto weSizwe Party held a key media briefing today, led by former President Jacob Zuma alongside senior party officials. The event served to update the public on the party’s recent developments and future direction.

During the address, Zuma and party leadership reviewed organizational progress, discussed challenges, and outlined plans to strengthen the party’s structure and political impact. They reiterated the party’s commitment to its founding values, member interests, and the rights of ordinary South Africans.

The briefing featured two major leadership announcements:

  1. Dr. Bongani Mncwango was introduced as the new Secretary General, bringing expertise in political strategy, administration, and community engagement.

  2. Comrade Nomsa Dlamini was appointed Deputy Secretary General, with experience in grassroots mobilization and policy advocacy.

Zuma expressed confidence in the new leadership team, stating their combined skills would advance the party’s mission for a more equitable South Africa.

The event closed with a call for unity and renewed commitment to transparent, accountable leadership. Party officials urged members to support the new appointees and work toward strengthening community structures in preparation for upcoming political activities.

The briefing marks an important organizational step for the uMkhonto weSizwe Party as it positions itself for future political engagements.
