KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi is earning widespread respect for publicly naming powerful individuals allegedly involved in misconduct that has unsettled even senior officers.

Insiders say Mkhwanazi took considerable personal risk by identifying these influential figures, who typically operate discreetly but command significant fear. “These aren’t ordinary suspects – they’re known entities who’ve long been considered untouchable,” revealed a law enforcement source. “That he named them directly shows extraordinary conviction.”
