ANC Faces Crisis as Top Officials Summoned Over Corruption and Underworld Ties

In a move that could send shockwaves through the ruling party, senior ANC leaders have been called before its Integrity Commission over explosive allegations of corruption and collaboration with criminal syndicates.

Sources reveal the probe targets high-ranking figures accused of looting public funds, securing illegal tenders, and even conspiring with underworld figures to silence opponents and cling to power. “These aren’t minor violations—we’re talking potential criminal charges,” said an anonymous ANC insider.

While names remain undisclosed, speculation is raging online, with hashtags like #ANCExposed and #UnderworldLinks trending. Public outrage is mounting, with citizens demanding transparency: “Name them! Arrest them!” tweeted one user, while others warned the ANC must “clean house before 2026.”

The scandal follows months of leaks tying party elites to illicit mining, taxi violence, and construction mafia operations. President Cyril Ramaphosa has endorsed the probe, stating: “We won’t tolerate rot in our ranks. All involved must answer.”

With elections looming, the ANC’s response could make or break its future. Analysts say this is a pivotal moment—will it be a genuine purge or just political theater?
