Members of the uMkhonto we Sizwe Party (MK Party) are demanding transparency from the party’s National High Command following the dismissal of their Secretary-General. They are calling for clear explanations, unconvinced by the stated reason—his visit to fugitive pastor Shepherd Bushiri’s church in Malawi.

“We are asking the National High Command to tell us exactly what our SG has done,”* the members said. *”With respect, we need the truth. The Bushiri explanation doesn’t make sense to us.”

The push for answers reflects broader concerns about the party’s internal decision-making and leadership accountability. Members want detailed justification for the removal, questioning whether the move was fair or politically motivated.

The dismissal has caused division within the party, with some members backing the SG and others questioning the High Command’s motives. The dispute highlights the challenges of maintaining unity when trust and open communication are lacking.

As tensions rise, the MK Party faces a critical test of its internal governance. How the leadership responds could shape member confidence and the party’s stability moving forward.
