Bonginkosi Khayile, a prominent political activist and member of the Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK) party, has hailed the release of Duduzile Zuma on bail following her recent court appearance. Khayile also condemned what he described as the “selective targeting” of political figures associated with Jacob Zuma. “This case is part of a broader political agenda,” he said, vowing continued support for Duduzile and the Zuma family.
Outside the courtroom, supporters of the former president and MK members gathered in solidarity, singing struggle songs and holding placards demanding that the charges against Duduzile be dropped.
For her part, Duduzile Zuma maintains her innocence, arguing that her social media posts were never intended to incite violence. Her legal team has vowed to fight the charges vigorously.
As the case continues, political tensions remain high. Khayile promised ongoing mobilization in support of Duduzile. “We are prepared to protect our leaders and ensure that justice is served,” he concluded.
