The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have elected their top six leaders unopposed during the National People’s Assembly (NPA) held at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg. The key positions include President, Deputy President, Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Treasurer-General, and National Chairperson.

Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi, Chairperson of the Elections Committee, formally dissolved the party’s Central Command Team before the nomination process began. This marked the start of a seamless election process, with no contenders challenging the nominated leaders.

Julius Malema, the EFF’s founding leader, was re-elected as President without opposition. Accepting the nomination, he confidently declared:

“My name is Julius Sello Malema, from ward 13 in Polokwane, a member of the EFF. I do accept the nomination.”

Godrich Gardee, another prominent figure within the party, similarly accepted his unopposed nomination for the position of Deputy President.

The unchallenged re-election of the EFF’s leadership underscores the party’s internal cohesion and support for its core leaders as they chart the way forward. The National People’s Assembly continues to serve as a platform for reinforcing the party’s vision and strategies for the years ahead.
