President Ramaphosa Congratulates U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump on Re-Election

  • President Ramaphosa congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on his re-election.
  • He highlighted the ongoing partnership between South Africa and the U.S. across multiple sectors.
  • Ramaphosa looks forward to working closely with the U.S. as South Africa assumes the G20 presidency in 2025.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended his congratulations to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on his recent re-election victory. In his message, Ramaphosa emphasized the importance of sustaining the strong, mutually beneficial partnership between South Africa and the United States across various areas of cooperation.

The South African President also looked forward to the upcoming G20 presidency in 2025, a significant milestone for South Africa, during which he anticipates close collaboration with the United States, set to assume the G20 presidency the following year in 2026.
