Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini narrowly avoided injury in a car accident on the R34 near Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal, on Tuesday afternoon. While details remain under investigation by local authorities, the King emerged unharmed, with his vehicle sustaining only minor damage.

According to sources close to the royal family, King Misuzulu was traveling along the R34 when the accident occurred. Emergency teams quickly arrived at the scene to assess the King and his companions, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Zulu royal spokesperson Prince Thulani Zulu confirmed the King’s safety, saying, “We are relieved that His Majesty was not injured in the incident. The royal family thanks all those who have extended their prayers and well-wishes.”

The accident has sparked an outpouring of concern and support from the King’s followers and citizens across KwaZulu-Natal. Social media was flooded with messages of relief for the King, who is respected for his leadership in cultural and community development. King Misuzulu, who ascended to the throne in 2021, holds a revered position, making his well-being a matter of significant public concern.

Local police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, considering factors such as road conditions and possible mechanical issues. Authorities have also issued reminders on the importance of road safety, particularly along busy routes like the R34.

The royal family expressed gratitude for the support and assured the public that the King will continue his duties as usual following the incident.
