Chief Justice Mandisa Maya has today sworn in Minister of Minerals and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe, as Acting President of the Republic of South Africa. President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed the Minister to assume the role of Acting President while he is overseas from 20 to 25 October 2024.
