In a passionate address, iNgwazi Floyd Shivambu, the National Organizer of the uMkhonto WeSizwe MK Party, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to restoring land and economic rights to Bantu South Africans. Speaking at a rally in Johannesburg, Shivambu emphasized the historical injustices faced by the community and outlined the party’s roadmap for reclaiming dignity and self-determination.
“The time has come for us to reclaim what is rightfully ours,” Shivambu declared. “The uMkhonto WeSizwe MK Party stands firm in its resolve to ensure that our people regain their land and economic independence. We will not rest until justice is served.”
Shivambu highlighted the systematic disenfranchisement of Bantu South Africans, which has resulted in persistent poverty and inequality. He called for a united front among all marginalized communities to advocate for equitable policies that prioritize land reform and economic empowerment.
The party plans to initiate community dialogues and mobilize grassroots support to raise awareness of land rights. “Our struggle is not just political; it’s about restoring the dignity of our people and fostering sustainable development in our communities,” he added.
In response to concerns about current land reform policies, Shivambu criticized government inaction, urging immediate legislative reforms to facilitate land redistribution. “We will hold those in power accountable and push for a new paradigm that places our people’s needs first,” he stated.
As the uMkhonto WeSizwe MK Party prepares for upcoming elections, it seeks to position itself as a champion for social justice, economic equity, and the empowerment of Bantu South Africans. The rally concluded with calls for solidarity and renewed determination among supporters.
