Standard Bank pursues Kaizer Chiefs legend Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane’s R1 million mansion in Fourways.

Letsholonyane risks losing his luxurious home after falling behind on payments, with an estimated outstanding balance exceeding R450,000.

Additionally, hefty municipal levies of over R730,000 have accumulated, surpassing the property’s market value.

Reports suggest that Standard Bank has taken legal action, filing court papers seeking an execution order to recover the debt.

Letsholonyane, a former Bafana Bafana midfield maestro, has not publicly addressed the situation that has garnered significant attention.

Reports also suggest that the former Kaizer Chiefs legend has allegedly not presented a payment strategy to address his outstanding debt.

The bank is said to be pursuing a court order permitting the execution against his property.

The agreement stipulated that Letsholonyane was to make monthly instalments of R72,197 to the bank, a commitment he has reportedly neglected.

The unpaid instalments have accumulated over time, reaching a substantial sum.

Further reports indicate that negotiations with the bank have been hampered by Letsholonyane’s unavailability to discuss and solidify payment arrangements to settle the overdue amount.
