The faces of the two suspected ‘hit men’ previously alleged to be the “killers of the late popular South African rapper AKA” and his friend Tibz were recently revealed on Facebook.

On Monday, Times of Swatini reported that members of the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPSS) recently busted two suspected ‘hit men’ living in hiding. The two South African brothers aged 28 and 29 allegedly hail from Durban and are wanted by police to assist with information in the murder cases including that of a musician and three taxi owners.

The duo were reported to allegedly have information about what happened on the night AKA — real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes was killed in 2023. The slain rapper was shot and killed with his long-term friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane on Florida road.

However, the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi has recently dismissed the claims that the ‘hitmen’ in question are those linked in AKA an Tibz’s murder case. According to the SAPS website, Mkhwanazi said the recently captured suspects are to “face a case of murder and attempted where a man, who was a passenger in a vehicle, was shot and killed in Berea (in Durban) on 6 March 2023”.

Social media users were curious to see the recently napped suspected hit men. While some believe AKA and Tibz’s killer is still out at large, others were not so easily convinced otherwise.
