According to reports, Tshwane Metro Police Department officers were busy conducting patrols when they spotted a cross-border bus carrying Zimbabwean national passengers, they signaled for the driver to stop and he ignored their instruction, instead he increased the speed of the bus.

Officers chased after the bus and after a few kilometers, the driver decided to surrender and stopped the bus. He was arrested for refusing to comply with law enforcement and during his arrest, the passengers defend him and made verbal insults towards the officers.

The driver is currently detained in jail and he will soon appear before a court to face the said charge, there is a possibility that he may also be charged with negligence and reckless driving.
