Pitso Mosimane’s return to the South African club appears improbable after his recent management dispute with Mamelodi Sundowns as the head of Al Ahly. The charge has tarnished an otherwise fruitful period of his time with the team.

The situation deteriorated further as Mosimane publicly vented his anger at Sundowns, saying that the club’s administration doesn’t give him enough credit for his accomplishments. In turn, he chastised Sundowns for what he viewed as poor sportsmanship, stating they neglected to recognize his services to the squad.

Mosimane said, “There is always drama when I come here,” a statement that could be seen as a reference to his own problems. There are much too many personal specifics. He alluded to the idea that Sundowns may continue to follow him after he left, and that they might reveal previously unknown incidents in a book or documentary.

While in charge, Mosimane said that Sundowns utilized “dirty tricks” to win games, despite the team’s on-field success. Despite his regret, he blamed the situation on a long tradition of similar behavior on the part of prior proprietors. Throughout his football career, Mosimane displayed resilience and grit in the face of hardship.

After departing Sundowns, Mosimane reflected on his time there, saying, “What do they want? ” in reference to the club. Giving my everything to the team, I’ve decided to move on. Just what are they hoping to accomplish?” This sentiment indicated at rising unhappiness on his behalf.

Mosimane refused to take responsibility for the defeat, instead focusing on his many years of service to the Sundowns under various ownership to highlight his strength as a football player. In spite of Sundowns’ popularity in South African football, he questioned whether dishonest tactics were truly necessary.

Mosimane’s open charges of ‘dirty tricks’ and strained relations with Sundowns have likely ended any hopes he had of returning to the coaching post. The already tight position is exacerbated by his strained relationship with the club’s leadership and the threat to divulge previously hidden incidents. Mosimane may not be able to return to coaching due to his unfinished business with Sundowns, despite the fact that he is currently a free agent.
