Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Calvin Johnson is set to become one of the highest paid tacticians in the top tier league in South Africa after his appointment was made official early this week.
The former Al Alhy assistant coach took over the vacant position after Kaizer Chiefs parted ways with coach Molefi Ntseki following a string of bad results week in and week out.

On Thursday, one of the leading sport publications in South Africa, KickOff, reported that Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs are expected to pay approximately R1,2 million per month to three or four members of their new technical team of which 55% of it will be pocketed by their caretaker coach, Calvin Johnson.
According to reports, it is reported that the Kaizer Chiefs caretaker coach is expected to pocket atleast R500 000 per month (approximately $26 000), depending on his experience and qualifications, making him one of the highest paid tacticians in the top tier league in South Africa.

Kaizer Chiefs caretaker coach Calvin Johnson who holds a UEFA Pro Licence has previously served on a coaching capacity in four different teams in the top tier league in South Africa during his illustrious coaching career which has spanned for almost a decade.
According to his managerial profile on German website 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵, the 64 year old Johannesburg born mentor has previously also served on a coaching capacity at now defunct Platinum Stars and at Supersport United.
In addition, the former Al Alhy assistant coach has previously also served on a coaching capacity at AmaZulu and at Black Leopards.
