In September this year, social media was abuzz with rumours that actress Linda Mtoba and her husband, Steven Meyer, had seperated and were headed for a divorce. According to the rumour mill at the time, Meyer had been cheating on the former Isibaya actress “sometimes with students from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.”

Someone once said something about him and ukzn girls, allegedly ke kodwa.

LINDA MTOBA ‘FINDS LOVE AGAIN’

While the actress keeps her personal life out of the public eye and has not come out to confirm or deny the claims, a source has revealed to Zimoja that the rumours about the couple’s seperation are true.

According to the source, Mtoba and Meyer are headed for a divorce and The River actress – who plays the character of Nomonde Dikana – has found love again in the arms of a wealthy Johannesburg businessman who cannot be named.

The new couple was reportedly spotted together at the millionaire’s birthday party that was hosted at a luxury restaurant in Sandton. The pair were said to be “all over each other and seemed to be in love.”

A friend of the businessman also told the publication that Mtoba and her alleged new man have made the relationship official and he spoils her with expensive gifts and trips abroad.

“She has been taking her girlfriends on holidays abroad courtesy of her new man, she is happy and you can just tell by her glow,” added the source.

‘MY HUSBAND DIDNT CHOOSE A LIFE OF FAME’

Mtoba married Meyer in 2017 after six years of dating. Their traditional wedding was held in KwaZulu-Natal.

After two years, the couple welcomed their daughter, whom the actress calls “Bean”.

While Mtoba has shared a few pictures of her husband’s face in the past, she rarely posts images of him on her social media platforms. They also never spotted together during events.

“My husband didn’t choose a life of fame and it is my job to shield him from that. I am unapologetically selfish when it comes to my husband and I value the sanctity of our life together and I want to protect that,” she told Nounouche in November last year.
