Former Orlando Pirates captain Edelbert Dinha is concerned about his countryman Khama Billiat, who is currently without a club in either the DStv Premiership or internationally. The Zimbabwean international, who is 33 years old, has been unemployed since the end of June, when his contract with Kaizer Chiefs expired.

Billiat’s contract with the Soweto giants was terminated due to monetary disputes, forcing him to look for a new team. During his five years with Amakhosi, he impressed as a vital midfielder and quickly became a fan favourite.

Various teams in Turkey, the Middle East, and even Egyptian powerhouses Zamalek were mentioned as possible destinations for Billiat. However, these transfers never materialised, and the Harare-born sensation had to wait over a year to play competitive football again.

Concerns were expressed by Edelbert Dinha, who is of the same nationality as Billiat. “It’s disheartening to see such a talented player like Khama struggling to find a team,” remarked Dinha. “He has so much to offer, and it’s a loss for any club that hasn’t secured his services.”

Concerns have been expressed about Billiat’s market worth due to his extended absence from the pitch. Many people think it’s vital for the brilliant midfielder to find a new club as quickly as possible, as his abilities and experience would be an addition to any team.

Fans and teammates of Khama Billiat are keeping their fingers crossed that he will find a new footballing home soon so that he can once again demonstrate his extraordinary talents.
