In a much-anticipated announcement, South African Gqom sensation Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane has confirmed the return of the hit reality show ‘Uthando Lodumo’ for its third season. This revelation comes after a tumultuous period in the life of the music icon, following the tragic passing of her husband, Mampintsha.

The journey for Babes Wodumo has been far from easy since the loss of her beloved partner. She grappled with grief, faced health challenges, and navigated financial setbacks. However, as the saying goes, “the show must go on,” and Babes Wodumo is determined to do just that.

In an exclusive interview with ZiMoja, the Wololo singer expressed her excitement about returning to the spotlight. “It feels great to be getting back into the swing of things again,” she shared. “I had my time to grieve properly, so I’m just so excited.”

Babes Wodumo has had to shoulder the responsibilities of parenting her son and managing their music business and her solo career without the presence of Mampintsha. Reflecting on this transition, she remarked, “It’s been different without my Mampintsha. I had to learn to make decisions on my own. Before, I used to make decisions with Mampintsha, so I’m doing everything on my own with the help of my team, but all is well.”

As the curtain rises on the third season of ‘Uthando Lodumo,’ viewers can anticipate a gripping narrative that delves into the untold stories of Babes Wodumo’s life after her husband’s passing. She promises an abundance of drama and a candid exploration of her struggles and challenges as a single mother, all while striving to maintain her royal status in the music industry.

“More drama, a lot about how my life has been after the passing of my husband, my struggles and challenges of being a single mom, having to wear my queen crown with pride and finding my feet,” Babes Wodumo reveals about what fans can expect from this season.

The return of ‘Uthando Lodumo’ promises to be a testament to the strength and resilience of Babes Wodumo as she navigates the tumultuous waters of life without Mampintsha. Her openness and determination to share her journey with the world serve as an inspiration for many, reminding us all that even in the face of adversity, life should indeed go on.
