In an unexpected turn of events, a short video clip featuring Bonga Sithole, a well-known figure in South Africa for his homeless status, has surfaced, showing him donning attire associated with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) political party. In the video, Sithole passionately praises the EFF and encourages people to vote for the party in the upcoming 2024 South African elections.

The clip has ignited a flurry of speculation and debate, with some suggesting that Sithole’s endorsement of the EFF might be financially motivated. Given the proximity of the elections, there is speculation that the party may have paid him to help boost their popularity and secure more votes.

Bonga Sithole gained prominence after being discovered by Sisanda Nomusa Qwabe-Coutaud, a Miss South Africa 2022 Finalist, through a TikTok video that showcased his life as a homeless individual. Despite a brief stint in rehab and shelter, he returned to the streets, begging for money. His unexpected involvement in political endorsement has left many questioning the motives behind this unusual alliance between a homeless figure and a political party.
