Uzalo’s Nomcebo, portrayed by Afro pop artist Nomcebo “Dot” Mthethwa, is a born-again Christian.

Dot (25) from Mpangeni, South Africa, recorded a video of herself being baptised by another woman online. This woman then fastened a note to her commitment to God, which read, “Father, you have summoned me, I am coming here. I am here to serve you and pledge to learn whatever I can from you.

Dot claimed she was afraid of the unknown and so told herself she was dreaming whenever she felt a desire to serve the Lord. There came a day when God intervened and rescued my life. I promised God that I would spend eternity in His dwelling. Dot pleaded with God to intervene if she ever veered off the straight and narrow. To keep my motives straight, I report to you in your boiler. Let there be a deal made in Heaven. All of my actions, thoughts, and words belong to You.

Dot went on to say that she had given God her entire life and all of her possessions. Dot has stated that she will no longer perform on stage after the year 2020. It was reported late last year that former Zimbabwean Kaizer Chiefs footballer Khama Billiat, then age 31, had married his second wife after buying out her family’s herd of cows. Earlier today, City Press published an interview with Dot’s mother, Smamiso Mthethwa, in which she confirmed that her daughter is indeed the sister of Khama’s old wife, Esnath Munyedawo (39). Dot has revealed that a sign inspired her to release a collection of songs about faith.
