Fans on Facebook were reassured that she is fine and alive by Babes Wodumo and her sister-manager, Nondumiso Simelane.
After Babes Wodumo’s death was reported as having occurred on social media by a false account using the name Bongeka Queen, this assurance was provided.
The fake message read: “Rest in peace Wodumo.”
Babes has dismissed the message, writing: “Guys, I’m well and alive. Someone wants me dead and is spreading a rumour that I’m dead. Guys, I can assure you that I am well and alive.”
Babes had asthma at the time, according to Nondumiso, who revealed this to Daily Sun. She was then sent to the hospital in a hurry. Supposedly, she was unwell to the point where she was unable to even attend Durban July celebrations.
Nondumiso and Babes ignored Daily Sun’s attempts to contact them. Additionally, they didn’t answer texts sent to them.
