Soweto-based giants Kaizer Chiefs football club are believed to be open to letting go of one of their strikers who was on top of the scoring charts last season at Amakhosi.
Last season Ashley Du Preez and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana performed in the club’s attack and the two was the highest scoring players at the club for the season.
However, Chiefs are now believed to be open to parting ways with Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana after he enjoyed just one season with them in the PSL top flight.
It was previously reported that Caleb left the country not so long ago to train with Wydad Casablanca in hope to sign a deal with them ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Another unnamed Polish side were also mentioned as an interested club for the services of the tall Burundian Kaizer Chiefs striker.
With Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana strongly being linked with an exit from Amakhosi another club in Africa have now emerged as a reported interested party.
Egyptian Premier League giants Zamalek are understood to be keen on signing Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana from Kaizer Chiefs football club.
A source have provided that Zamalek sent an offer to Chiefs for the services of the 25-year-old Amakhosi attacker.
“Yes, it’s true that Zamalek want the player and that they have sent an offer to Chiefs,” said the source.
Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana wasn’t bad in terms of scoring goals last season for Kaizer Chiefs as he netted 7 league goals in 17 league matches. He also scored one goal in two Nedbank Cup appearances.
Bimenyimana was just not consistent enough last season but he was at times great in front of goal. The performances of last season has now attracted interest from Africa and Europe and he might likely sign with one of the interested clubs.
The right offer to Kaizer Chiefs might see Bimenyimana complete a move in the open transfer window.
