Bafana takes on Zambia in the semifinals of Cosafa Cup at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday.

Tshegofatso Mabasa’s two goals against Eswatini were enough to see South Africa top Group A and set up a mouthwatering semifinal clash against Chipolopolo.

Bafana alongside Zambia Malawi and Lesotho all made the semis of the regional tournament which is held in Durban.

Bafana interim coach Morena Ramoreboli, has been impressed so far with his Cosafa team, winning two and drawing one. He has been praised for making timeous substitutions and bringing in the right personnel whenever the team has needed them..

Against Eswatini, the team needed a win top top their group and proceed to the semis of the Cosafa Cup. Ramoreboli called on Mabasa in the second-hald and the Orlando Pirates man delivered.

The mood in the camp has been quite good as well since we met, which was about a week ago, [and] that is what we needed to progress in this tournament,” said Mabasa after the match.

“It’s been a tough season for me personally and to have gotten those goals was a relief. It has been a while since I have scored and it felt good to be on the scoresheet again,” he said
