The Government have been educating citizens and residents of South Africa in the need for them to adhere to regulations set up by authorized institutions aimed at ensuring that the lives and properties of citizens are well protected.
Despite all the effort being made by government to address some issues resulting to incessant lose of lives and properties some individuals still in engage in activities that endangers their lives and that of the larger society.
We would recall that tragedy struck in Boksburg following gas leak that killed as many as 16 people including three children, in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, South Africa, a suburb just outside of Johannesburg.
Emergency services personnel were informed about the situation around 8pm local time (18:00 GMT) to attend to what was thought to be a gas explosion. However, first responders came to realise the deaths were caused not by an explosion but by “poisonous gas” leaking into the area.
The incident led to the death of over 16 persons and a search operation is still ongoing to ascertain if there are still missing bodies.
Meanwhile, emerging report says that the 16 dead persons were positively identified to be foreign nationals from Mozambican, Zimbabwe and Uganda who were working as illegal miners.
