Presidential aspirant Duduzane Zuma is silently making big moves ahead of the 2024 general elections. According to reports, Duduzane Zuma spent his day visiting isolated areas in eThekwini the day before yesterday. He went to markets including the one at Durban Station as well as the market to do manual work. People in these areas made it clear that they would vote for him.

According to a woman selling in the area who asked not to be named, she is from Nkandla and sees Zuma’s activities on social media. She said that she and her community are already voting for him because they have seen the good work that his father, former president Jacob Zuma, did for them. They want new people to come in and fix the situation.

Street dwellers who called themselves pharaohs also shook Zuma’s hand and assured him that they would vote for him and want him to be president. They were the only ones who stopped the buses shouting for Zuma, expressing their joy for him as he was seen walking with other people. Zuma said that being in the community is one of the things he intends to do when he becomes president because he believes that you will not know people’s problems better if you do not live with them.

Zuma’s visit to isolated areas in eThekwini was a clear attempt to court the votes of the people in these areas. His promise to be in the community when he becomes president is a direct appeal to their needs. The people in these areas have seen the good work that Zuma’s father did for them, and they are hoping that he will be able to do the same.

Zuma’s visit was also well-received by the street dwellers who called themselves pharaohs. These people are often marginalized and ignored by the government, so they were happy to see Zuma taking the time to meet with them. Mzansi, do you think Duduzane Zuma will be able to do better than his father?
