Head of the Presidential Protection Services, Wally Rhoode, addressed the media today regarding the recent challenges faced by President Cyril Ramaphosa during his visit to Poland for the #AfricanPeaceInitiative. Rhoode expressed his concerns about the potential risks posed to the security of the President during his trip.

Speaking at the press briefing, Rhoode emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of President Ramaphosa and the need to protect him from any potential threats. He stated that there were certain individuals or groups in Poland who seemed intent on jeopardizing the security of the President and his delegation.

Rhoode highlighted that these individuals were attempting to undermine the efforts of the #AfricanPeaceInitiative by targeting the President. He described their actions as a direct threat not only to the safety of President Ramaphosa but also to the overall mission of fostering peace and stability in Africa.

The Head of the Presidential Protection Services expressed his disappointment in the situation, emphasizing that the primary objective of the visit was to promote dialogue, cooperation, and peace between African nations and Poland. However, instead of focusing on these important matters, certain groups seemed more interested in creating disturbances and putting the President’s security at risk.

Rhoode assured the media that the Presidential Protection Services had taken all necessary measures to address the challenges encountered in Poland. He stated that they had increased security measures, deployed additional personnel, and worked closely with local authorities to mitigate potential threats.

He further mentioned that the Polish authorities had been cooperative and supportive throughout the process. Rhoode expressed his gratitude for their assistance in ensuring the safety of President Ramaphosa and his delegation.

Despite the challenges, Rhoode reiterated the President’s commitment to the #AfricanPeaceInitiative and his determination to continue promoting peace and cooperation among African nations. He emphasized that the actions of a few would not deter the President from his mission and that the delegation would carry on with their important work.

Rhoode concluded the briefing by urging the media and the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals that might pose a threat to the President’s security. He stressed the importance of collective responsibility in safeguarding the President and ensuring the success of the #AfricanPeaceInitiative.

In conclusion, Head of the Presidential Protection Services, Wally Rhoode, expressed his concerns about the challenges faced during President Cyril Ramaphosa’s visit to Poland for the #AfricanPeaceInitiative. He highlighted the attempts by certain individuals or groups to jeopardize the security of the President and undermine the mission of fostering peace in Africa.

Rhoode reassured the media that the necessary security measures had been taken and thanked the Polish authorities for their cooperation. Despite the obstacles encountered, he emphasized President Ramaphosa’s unwavering commitment to the initiative and urged everyone to remain vigilant in ensuring the President’s safety.
