ANC veteran, Tony Yengeni has revealed that he is curious to know what was the cause of death for the ruling party’s member of parliament, Tina Pettersson.

Yengeni said he bumped into Tina Pettersson at the airport, and she was full of life not showing any kind of sickness. The death of the ANC comrade and former minister left many in shock.

“We bumped into each other at OR very recently…She was full of beans. I’m curious to know the cause of her death. South African media is useless,” Tony Yengeni said.

The African National Congress is expected to hold a memorial service for the late comrade after it was revealed that the family of Tina Pettersson did not allow ANC to preside over her funeral. The family conducted a private funeral away from the ANC comrades.

Speculations were that tensions were very high at the funeral as family members of Tina Pettersson were not buying the narrative that she committed suicide after her What’sApp messages emerged trying to solicit a bribe from advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s husband.

The failure to reveal the cause of death of Tina Pettersson has left much room for speculations. ANC comrades seem to be pointing fingers at each other, and making dangerous insinuations, yet nobody knows what really happened.

Critics argued that this matter is very sensitive, and ANC comrades must handle it very carefully as it could lead to more people accusing each other of something they might regret later. Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane on Tuesday, held a press briefing where she shared audio and What’sApp messages of the late ANC comrade allegedly trying to solicit a bribe.

In the audio, she could be heard heavily criticising the African National Congress. Some critics tried to discredit advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s evidence saying there is no surety that this was really the voice of Tina Pettersson.
