Busisiwe Mkhwebane is making explosive moves, see who she is blaming for Joemat-Pettersson’s death

In a much-anticipated public briefing, the suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane dropped bombshell claims, suggesting that if she had not faced an impeachment inquiry and subsequent suspension, ANC MP Tina Joemat-Pettersson would still be alive today.

Disregarding a warning from Parliament’s ethics committee, Mkhwebane boldly played snippets of audio recordings that allegedly captured secret meetings between her husband, David Skosana, and Joemat-Pettersson in March 2023. These snippets suggested that Joemat-Pettersson attempted to extort R600K from Skosana in exchange for making the inquiry into Mkhwebane’s fitness for office vanish.

While the cause of Joemat-Pettersson’s death has not been publicly disclosed, Mkhwebane maintained that the late ANC MP would have survived if constitutional obligations had been met by the legislature, executive, judiciary, and even the ANC/DA alliance.

During the media briefing, Mkhwebane acknowledged that the meeting recordings were captured in a busy restaurant and under clandestine circumstances, resulting in significant background noise. Mkhwebane’s claims extended beyond the alleged extortion, implicating ANC members Dyantyi and Majodina.

According to her, both Dyantyi and Majodina harbored resentment for not being appointed as ministers, and as a consequence, they were determined to obstruct the impeachment process until the end of her term. Furthermore, it was purported that President Ramaphosa was “desperate” to make Mkhwebane an offer, but she staunchly refused to resign.

Addressing skepticism surrounding the authenticity of the evidence, Mkhwebane emphatically declared that anyone doubting its legitimacy must seriously reconsider their stance. She argued that the overwhelming and mutually reinforcing nature of the evidence should give pause to even the most biased or uninformed person in the world.

Mzansi, what are your thoughts concerning Mkhwebane’s recent move? Do you think she is playing it right or is she trying to get herself killed?
