The conversation surrounding Orania not accommodating people of other races has continued to raise concerns especially amongst black South African people who feel like they are being sideline within Orania.

Many have complained that black people are not usually welcome with open arms around the area, especially by white people who often accuse them of crime.

Meanwhile, a white South African lady known as Sunflower Srina on Twitter has debunk all the claim that white people in Orania do not allow people of other races to coexist with them.

She made the statement after a South African man known as Tebogo said; “The biggest issue with Orania is that it doesn’t accommodate other races, you can’t have such a town in South Africa. Such a town/place should not exist. How can you have a country inside a country”.

Reacting to his statement Miss Srina said;

“Swaziland and Lesotho are landlocked countries within a country. Orania is a privately owned suburb, not a “country”. If you think about it, logically – even townships like Alexandra, Diepsloot or Katlehong are not accommodating to other races. In any event, if you met the requirements of Orania’s culture, language, work ethic you might be allowed to live there.

However, I’m curious as to why it’s mostly the Black community who has a problem with Orania, I don’t usually find Indians, colored or even some English speaking people, having an issue with Orania. Why is that?”.

Does the Zulu Kingdom accommodate other tribes?
