ANC veteran, Dr Zweli Mkhize was spotted at the venue where the Zulu traditional prime minister Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi is expected to address chiefs today.

The meeting is being held at Imbizo conference centre. Dr Zweli Mkhize from the ANC was seen arriving there. He seemed more composed and was all smiles as he arrived at the venue.

It is not clear in what capacity he is attending the meeting of the chiefs and Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi on Ingonyama Trust matters.

Also spotted at the meeting to be addressed by Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi is recently dethroned Ingonyama Trust Board chairperson, former Judge Jerome Ngwenya.

This meeting comes after there has been speculation that King Misuzulu KaZwelithini was having a fallout with the traditional prime minister. The king however, revealed this week that there is no fallout between him and Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

King Misuzulu KaZwelithini slammed those spreading the rumors and said they are opportunists who want to thrive on dividing the Zulu kingdom.

It is not clear what this meeting between Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi and the chiefs is all about. King Misuzulu KaZwelithini is not in attendance. He said he will not be able to make it as he has other responsibilities.

Even though some critics were left surprised as to why former minister, Zweli Mkhize is in attendance at a meeting that is meant to be for the chiefs and the Zulu traditional prime minister, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

Others said Mkhize played a pivotal in facilitating for an end to political violence in the province, and for that he remains an important figure.

Mkhize looks like he is in great shape compared to how he was in the previous days. It seems he has now regained his strength and his health has improved greatly. Many were worried about him especially after suffering a heavy political blow.
