Dr Nandipha Magudumana wants out; she has filed for an urgent application in the Free State high court; to declare her ‘abduction’ and arrest in Tanzania unlawful.

It is common knowledge that she along with her boyfriend; Thabo Bester; were arrested in Tanzania last month following Bester’s escape from Mangaung Correctional Centre on 3 May 2022.

In a turn of events; she has filed an urgent application that demands the High Court to declare the process of her deportation from Tanzania to South Africa; and arrest unlawful.

The spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA); Phaladi Shuping; confirmed the urgent application on Friday; 19 May 2023.

According to Phaladi; the NPA will release an official statement; once it has looked at her document.

The controversial Dr Magudumana has been charged with a plethora of charges; including: murder; violation of a corpse; defeating the ends of justice; aiding and abetting a convicted prisoner to escape from lawful custody.

open the gates.

Dr Magudumana appearing in court with her co-accussed former G4S employees.

It has been revealed that Magudumana; allegedly acquired the body of Katleho Bereng; whose remains have since been buried by his distraught family; from a government mortuary in Bloemfontein.

The charred body of Katleho which was used as a decoy; was found in Bester’s cell; burnt beyond recognition; it could only be identified through forensic testing.

Meanwhile; Bereng’s family is adamant that Magudumana and her co-accussed must not be released on bail.

While Magudumana did reserve her right to apply for bail in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Thursday; 11 May 2023.

Magudumana’s legal representative; Advocate Frans Dlamini; told the court that his client will apply later. She is envisaged to appear once again; along with her boyfriend Thabo Bester on Tuesday; 20 June 2023.

Bester and Maudumana are charged along with former G4S employees; Motanyane Masukela; Senohe Matsoara; Natassja Jansen; Tieho Frans Makhotsa as well as CCTV camera installer Teboho Lipholo.

This is a daring and desperate attempt by Dr Nandipha to escape from being convicted of her alleged crimes. The mounting evidence against her; will make it difficult for her to walk away free.
