Swallows Interim Coach Musa Nyatama gives update on Keegan Allan after he collapsed on the field

Swallows interim coach Musa Nyatama said that Keegan Allan “is fine” after two ambulances were sent onto the field when he collapsed. He then thanked the match officials and Kaizer Chiefs players for their quick action and support.

Dillan Solomons accidentally hit Allan in the face with his elbow, which hurt his chin. At first, it looked like Allan was ready to get up, but then he fell back down and needed medical help right away.

Referee Cedric Muvhali ran to get an oxygen bottle to help the defender, and players from both teams gathered around him. The Chiefs’ medical team helped their colleagues from Swallows, and two ambulances were also rushed onto the field. After a few tense minutes, Allan was able to get up and walk off the field with the help of two officials. After the game, Nyatama reported that the player is stable.

When asked about Allan’s health, he told iDiski Times, “He’s fine. I think he’s fine. I think he just got hit in the head. I think he ran into another player, but I hope he gets better soon. But now that I’ve seen him, I think he’s okay. The doctors are taking good care of him,” he said.

Nyatama also thanks the Chiefs players, the medical staff, and the refs for stepping in quickly to help Allan.

“It’s great to hear it from our coworkers. You could see how everyone wanted to help the guy right away. A player’s life is more important than the game. The most important thing is that he lives. We can lose the three points, but it’s more important that he stays alive.”

“It was clear from the actions of our coworkers that they were trying to be helpful to him. Everyone was just running to get the oxygen and everything else. We thank them because, even though they were losing the game at the time, it was clear that the boy needed help, so we had to help him.”

Swallows, on the other hand, won 2-1, which was a big win that helped them stay in the DStv Premiership and even move up to eighth place on the log.
