The minister of the department of Energy and mineral resources and the Chairperson of the African National Congress Gwede Mantashe has been seen to be someone whom doesn’t favour the former Eskom Chief Executive Officer Andre De Ruyter.
Last year, Gwede Mantashe, minister of mineral resources and energy, launched a full-throated attack on Eskom and its former Chief Executive Officer André de Ruyter, accusing the utility of “actively agitating for the overthrow of the state” by allowing load-shedding to continue.
Now the African National Congress National chairperson Gwede Mantashe is accused kf being behind poisoning of Andre De Ruyter last year.
Last year, Andre De Ruyter became “weak, dizzy and confused, shaking uncontrollably and vomiting copiously” before he collapsed and was taken to a doctor. This is were it was confirmed that there was a poison in his body.
The poisoning incident may finally trigger sufficient alarm in the government to take seriously the corruption endemic in many state-controlled entities.
