When Thabo Bester escaped from prison in May 2022, a burnt body was used as a decoy.
According to the State, evidence strongly suggests that the charred man discovered in the cell of Thabo Bester, a convicted rapist and murderer, was intentionally murdered as part of an escape plan.
Notably, there was no evidence of smoke inhalation, soot or burning in the airway or lungs, indicating that the individual was already deceased before being burned in cell 35 on 3 May 2022.
Last week, police confirmed that a murder investigation has been launched to determine whose charred remains were found in a prison cell at the Mangaung Correctional Facility.
A Man by the name of Batho Mpholo has dropped a bombshell on Twitter. Batho Mpholo claims to be the father of the person whose body was used. “The body that was burnt by Thabo Bester in prison was that of my son.
Our own government is failing us. I am broken”, the man dropped the bombshell. Mpholo says a DNA test was conducted and the results linked his son. What a sad revelation!
Messsges of condolences sre currently pouring in for the father.
@Ardonme I’m so sorry, may you and your family find peace. It is by God’s grace that this information was brought to light
@Loossani Condolences but this hurts deeply… even if he had passed on already as Africans we respect and preserve those remains and bury with dignity. I hope you get proper guidance and deal with this!
According to sources, Dr Nandipha Magudumana reportedly took three unidentified bodies from mortuaries in the Free State weeks before Thabo’s successful prison break.
These bodies were obtained unlawfully over a period of several weeks. Two of the bodies were intended for Thabo’s previous unsuccessful prison escape attempts at the Mangaung maximum security prison.
