South African on social media were left in shock after viewing pictures of Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), taking part in the interview process for candidates vying for various positions in the South African Courts, including the President of the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA).

In reaction to this development, the South African author Ian Cameron has taken to Twitter to express his disapproval, citing Malema’s alleged disregard for the law. In a tweet posted on April 19th, Cameron called the process a “complete farce” and criticized Malema’s involvement, suggesting that Malema only cares about himself and has no respect for the law or anyone else. Cameron even went as far as to insinuate that Malema’s participation is part of a conspiracy, claiming that this happens when corrupt individuals become nervous that others will reveal their secrets.

Malema’s participation in the interview process has sparked debates online, with some agreeing with Cameron and others defending Malema’s involvement. The EFF leader has not responded to Cameron’s criticism, but the Judicial Service Commission has defended the process, stating that Malema’s participation is in line with the Constitution and relevant laws.

Overall, Malema’s involvement in the interview process has stirred up mixed feelings among South Africans, with some questioning the EFF leader’s qualifications for the role and others accusing Cameron of being biased. It remains to be seen how this controversy will unfold and whether Malema will be successful in his bid to influence the selection of South Africa’s top judicial officials.
