The IFP chair in KwaZulu-Natal has happily announced the admission of former EFF MP to his party, after the IFP won another victory in by-elections in the Umsunduzi district. Thokozani Langa, the former EFF MP, believes his old party has lost interest in serving the needs of the marginalised.

According to Ntuli, the mayor of King Cetshwayo district, the by-election results in KwaZulu-Natal show that people are frustrated with the ANC government. Ntuli also accused the ANC of interfering in local government matters, causing instability, and obstructing the democratic will of the people. He added that the ruling party should take the grievances of embattled municipalities more seriously.

The ANC in KZN rejected Ntuli’s remarks and accused the IFP of abusing power by sleeping with municipal employees and hosting bashes and izimbizo with funds meant for the municipalities. The KZN ANC spokesperson denied that they were not concerned about protecting traditional leaders.

On the other hand, Ntuli has come out to accuse the KZN premier of faking concern over the protection of traditional leaders and said she had not taken any action. Mndebele denied this accusation and said they were the only organisation that had defended Amakhosi and izinduna. The premier and the Cogta MEC recently met the province’s house of traditional leaders to hear their concerns and grievances. The chair of the house urged the South African community to participate in protecting their traditional leaders and to resolve any grudges in an orderly manner.

Mzansi, tell us what you think about this shocking report? Do you think really think the EFF and Julius Malema have lost their way? Remember this same party went to court in defense of a Nigerian National accused of hijacking. Share this article with family and friends let’s get more reactions on this topic.
