Even today, South Africans are still healing from the loss of over 35 people who died after a gas tanker exploded at Boksburg. The reports say that a tanker that was carrying gas exploded and killed people after it was forced to pass through a bridge that didn’t have enough height to accommodate it.
The explosion caused damage for over 7 kilometers, and houses and nearby infrastructure were damaged, leaving over 35 people dead. The tanker belongs to a trading company called Infinite Transport. Many people have been calling for this company to take responsibility for the damage that the explosion caused.
Just when we are healing and starting to forget about the incident, another gas tanker from Infinite Transport, the same company that is responsible for the deaths of 37 people after their truck exploded in Boksburg, was involved in an accident yesterday in Musina. Reports say the driver lost control in a sharp corner and the tanker rolled over; no deaths have been reported, but the driver allegedly suffered minor injuries. It was just fortunate that this one didn’t explode like the one that exploded at Boksburg.

After the video of the accident scene was posted, people were very angry after they noticed that there were people who were just next to that tanker taking videos instead of running away so that they wouldn’t be victims of the explosion again.
A security guard and several people were spotted at the scene, leaving South Africans so angry that some even said it’s true that South Africans don’t think for themselves. Most of the people who were victims of Boksburg were taking videos; this was supposed to be an alert to everyone that whenever they see such accidents, they should run away.
This is very careless of people; the next thing after they are hurt, they will be calling for the government to intervene. People on social media are asking if this company’s drivers are just careless; some even said the government should inspect if the company is employing unskilled labor or their tankers have faults.
