Win or lose, many wives and girlfriends of PSL footballers have been cheering their partners since their early childhood days.
When it comes to football, things don’t always go the team’s way, for every victory and defeat these professionals always have their longtime sweethearts who cheer them on.
On Sunday DStv Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs decided to honour their away encounter against Sekhukhune United following the recent COVID 19 outbreak at Naturena. Coming into the match Amakhosi had failed to assemble a squad for their recent two league fixtures against Cape Town City and Golden Arrows. Making their return into action Kaizer Chiefs were without their Head Coach Stuart Baxter and also without their key players Keagan Dolly and Khama Billiat.
The much needed return of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo had an immediate impact. In the 25th minute the 22 year old KZN born midfielder netted a stunner way outside the penalty area to give Kaizer Chiefs the lead. Celebrating Mshini’s efforts, his girlfriend Thabisa Nketsi took to her IG account where she publicly made it known that Ngcobo is her boyfriend. In a series of shared pictures on IG handles, Miss Nketsi would go to capture every moment from the ball leaving Ngcobo’s foot up until it passed the goalkeeper who never stood a chance.
Furthermore Thabisa Nketsi would also go to mention that she is very proud to call herself Ngcobo’s girlfriend after he was voted as the man of the match, as Kaizer Chiefs went to win the match 2-0. For some time now most football fans in South Africa believed that Ngcobo was very much single and available for dating. It was up until his recent birthday last month when the couple decided to officially announce on IG that they were item. From findings we also had the opportunity to learn that they have been dating for some time as they preferred to keep their love life off the limelight.
