Influencer Nicole Nyaba, the ex girlfriend of late rapper AKA, has reflected on his impact on her life, stating that he changed my life during an episode of the All The Smoke podcast on 12 June.
The episode, hosted by comedian Toll A$$ Mo, rapper Tshego and actor Luthando BU Mthembu, covered topics including Nicole’s career aspirations and her relationship with AKA, who referenced her in his song One Time.
When asked which relationship she regrets the most, Nicole said she takes back her previous description of AKA as the devil. She said at the time she was not mature enough to understand certain things about their relationship. She now thinks of him in all the good things he did for her.

When asked how she would react if AKA came to her in the middle of the night, she said she would be happy because she would get a chance to tell him she was wrong about him and that she does not regret being with him. She added that he changed her life.
Nicole also said AKA believed in her and imagined a better future for her, including that she could be a rapper one day. She said she pursued it because he believed in her and that he wanted a lot for her.
