A video of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema feeding milk to a young calf has gone viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions from South Africans. The video was shared on Malema’s social media account and shows him spending time with the animal on a farm.
Many people were surprised to see a softer side of the outspoken politician, who is usually known for his strong political views and public speeches. In the video, Malema carefully feeds the calf from a bottle while others watch nearby. The clip quickly spread online, with users sharing jokes, comments and opinions about the unusual moment.
Some social media users praised Malema for showing kindness towards animals and said the video was heartwarming. Others used the opportunity to make jokes and tease him, saying they were not used to seeing him in such a calm and caring role. The video sparked a lively discussion across different social media platforms.
The viral clip comes at a time when Malema is dealing with several legal and political matters that have kept him in the public eye. Despite these ongoing challenges, the farm video offered a different image of the EFF leader and briefly shifted attention away from politics.
While opinions about Malema remain divided, many people agreed that the video was unexpected. For some, it was a reminder that political leaders also have personal moments outside their public duties.
The clip continues to attract views online, with South Africans still debating whether the moment was simply a kind gesture or just another viral social media moment from one of the country’s most talked-about politicians.
