Floda, the wife of Ngizwe Mchunu, expressed gratitude to former radio personality and activist Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, who paid a visit to their home in Mbumbulu after it was set ablaze. The house was reportedly attacked by three men on Sunday, 10 May 2026, resulting in extensive damage. Jacinta arrived with supplies, not just condolences.
Mchunu’s wife thanked Jacinta and others for the donations, acknowledging that much of their household items had been destroyed in the fire. “Thank you so much. I can tell a woman put thought into this. As you can see, all our cooking pots and kitchen tools were ruined. Thank you, God bless,” she said while embracing Jacinta. The emotional moment, captured on video, showed her accepting essential kitchenware among the delivered items. The footage was posted on X by @visse_ss with the caption: “Ngizwe’s wife is thanking people for the gifts that arrived with Jacinta Ngobese.”
Public reaction in Mzansi has been divided. While some expressed sympathy, others voiced skepticism about the incident. @Don_Selz commented, “This is the woman living in those huts? Something doesn’t make sense.” @PardieWaMasi suggested the praise was misleading: “When people start complimenting her like this, remember—she made a poor choice. No one deserves applause for what’s expected. This feels like subtle mockery.” @ItuRebaone questioned her relationship choice: “How can someone so beautiful end up with a dom?” @ndumzco alleged the scene was fabricated: “She doesn’t actually live in a rural homestead like they claim. Those fake eyelashes would’ve burned in even a small cooking fire. This whole thing is staged.” @NatashaNtlangw1 wondered, “Is she really married to him, or is this part of a storyline?” To which @Hayibo_koi replied, “I can’t imagine Ngizwe’s wife wearing a nose ring. He’s not that controlling.”
