In a shocking and heartbreaking development, Amanda Manku, known for her role in Skeem Saam, is grappling with the alleged involvement of her father in the deaths of her mother and grandmother.
According to reports, Amanda’s father allegedly hired a hitman to target his mother-in-law after confiding in friends about ongoing personal conflicts. He is said to have been introduced to individuals believed capable of carrying out such crimes and allegedly provided them with the residence where the attack would occur. The attack reportedly led to the tragic deaths of both his wife and her mother, erasing two generations of the family in a single incident.
Initially, he claimed that his confession had been coerced. However, he has since reportedly admitted to planning the crime, taking full responsibility, and asserting that his girlfriend — whose vehicle was allegedly used during the incident — had no knowledge of the plan.
For Amanda, the tragedy is profoundly personal. She has described her father as once being her closest confidant, making the loss of her mother and grandmother, allegedly at his hands, an unbearable blow.
The case has sent shockwaves across South Africa, with many expressing sorrow and disbelief at the magnitude of the tragedy. Supporters, fans, and fellow South Africans are encouraged to keep Amanda and her family in their thoughts during this devastating time. Messages of strength, comfort, and condolences have poured in, reflecting the collective empathy of a nation grappling with such a senseless loss.
