EFF leader Julius Malema has dismissed concerns raised by party member Brown Mogotsi regarding his personal security, stating that Mogotsi is safe in his home village in the North West.
Malema questioned why these concerns only emerged ahead of Mogotsi’s scheduled appearance in Parliament and cast doubt on previous claims made by Mogotsi about being attacked. He suggested some incidents may have been fabricated.
The EFF leader framed the issue as political gamesmanship rather than a genuine security threat, accusing Mogotsi of using the claims to gain sympathy or divert attention.
The remarks highlight ongoing tensions and competitive dynamics within the political landscape, where allegations are often exchanged and credibility contested. The situation continues to develop as Mogotsi prepares to participate in parliamentary proceedings.
